This time, because Thakur was alone when his alarm went off, his mother discovered him unresponsive. Thakur's family is in Haridwar for his last rites and has requested privacy during this time.
Thakur had been away from the industry for a period but remained in touch with colleagues. Sonar said he had met Thakur 10 days prior to his death and was trying to reach him on Friday before the family informed him of the demise. Remembering Thakur as a positive and happy person, Sonar said he was yet to come to terms with the loss.
