JEDDAH — Joao Felix delivered four goal contributions — two goals and two assists — as Al-Nassr cruised to a 4-0 victory over Pakhtakor in the AFC Champions League Elite on Monday, extending the Portuguese forward's remarkable scoring form for the Saudi Pro League club.
The Saudi side, chasing a second straight win in the continental tournament after their fixture against Al-Wasl was postponed, got off to a flying start. In the 15th minute, Felix slipped a precise pass to Abdullah Al-Hamdan, who lashed a powerful finish into the net. Two minutes later, Felix took matters into his own hands, dancing through the Pakhtakor defence inside the box before slotting home.
Felix added a second goal before halftime in the 32nd minute, converting a pass from Sadio Mane for his brace. In the second half, he swung over an accurate corner in the 53rd minute that Abdulelah Al-Amri headed in.
The performance lifted Felix to eight goal contributions across his last two matches — four assists in Al-Nassr's Roshn League win over Al-Kholood and two goals and two assists against Pakhtakor. The display marked the fourth time in his professional career he has managed four goal contributions in consecutive matches, and he has become one of the main sources of Al-Nassr's attacking power.
Al-Nassr will look to build on the result as they continue their campaign in Asia, with Felix's form providing a significant boost to the side's ambitions.
