NHL launches Hometown Remix program across all 32 teams

The National Hockey League unveiled its Hometown Remix program Thursday, a leaguewide special-edition uniform initiative featuring all 32 franchises designed to celebrate local identity and fan culture.

The Florida Panthers were the first to showcase their Hometown Remix jerseys, taking the ice against the Detroit Red Wings at Amerant Bank Arena. The coral, orange, yellow and navy design evokes a South Florida sunrise, with a hockey stick and palm tree crossing in front of a rising sun. Center Anton Lundell praised the design, saying it was "totally different than anything else we have seen" and noting the jersey has "South Florida and Miami Vice vibes." "No one else has those colors," Lundell said. "It certainly has South Florida and Miami Vice vibes to it."

The Nashville Predators followed with uniforms honoring Music City's country music heritage. The design features tonal filigree detailing referencing intricate patterns from country stagewear, filigree on the sleeves and hem framing the city name, and an iris motif for Tennessee pride. A new letterpress-inspired numbering system finished the look. Predators CEO Sean Henry said the uniforms "pay homage to Nashville's and Tennessee's music roots and tie together everything that make them both so special and unique."

Los Angeles Kings' Hometown Remix jerseys celebrate six decades of franchise history. The royal purple design features a Hollywood-inspired serif font, crown outline and pinstripe details. Sleeves include debossed palm trees, and the interior lining features six diamonds representing each decade of Kings history.

"Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater," said NHL Senior Executive Vice President Brian Jennings. "Hometown Remix builds on that legacy in a fresh and authentic way, celebrating the fans, culture and communities that make each NHL market unique."

Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics, said the program represents "the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024."

All Hometown Remix uniforms and accompanying apparel, including headwear and fan gear, are available through the Fanatics network of sites, including NHLShop.com, NHLShop.ca and Fanatics.com, as well as team stores.

The program kicks off across multiple markets this week. The Panthers begin against the Red Wings, the Predators host the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, and the Kings wear their jerseys beginning Wednesday versus San Jose.
