CHENNAI — Ajith Kumar's next film Daredevil was formally launched with a pooja ceremony here, marking the actor's 64th project and his third collaboration with director Adhik Ravichandran after Good Bad and Ugly.
The event, held at a Chennai studio, saw the presence of Ajith's wife and producer Shalini Kumar, who turned producer with this venture under the Bravehearts Production banner. The cast includes Sreeleela, who was formally introduced opposite the Tamil superstar, along with Unni Mukundan and Parthiban.
Parthiban, who reunites with Ajith on screen after nearly 27 years, expressed his excitement at the collaboration. The film's technical team features cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujam, editor Vijay Velukutty, stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar, and sound designer Suren.
Anirudh Ravichander composes the music for the fourth time after Vivegam, Vedalam and Vidaamuyarchi. The title features a dice motif reflecting the film's theme of chance and unpredictability. The first-look poster, released ahead of the launch, features Ajith in a white suit and wine-red sunglasses.
Sreeleela shared pictures from the ceremony on social media with the caption "Blessed beginnings." The film begins shooting with the first schedule already planned.
Daredevil is produced under the Bravehearts Production banner and is expected to follow a regular shooting schedule in the coming months.
