A Texas tech entrepreneur, his wife and their two young children were killed when their private jet crashed in Florida, authorities said. Adam Robinson, 42, his wife Helen Sharp, and their children Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, died in the accident. Robinson was the founder and chief executive of RB2B and Retention.com, and the chief executive of Moltsets. He previously worked at Lehman Brothers and the banking group Barclays. A joint statement from some of the families of those killed described the victims as "devoted parents" and said their children were "the light of their lives." "Helen and Adam were the love affair that will last forever. Their warmth, generosity and gift for making people feel welcome touched so many lives," the statement read. Jesse Ouellette, a fellow tech entrepreneur, posted on LinkedIn that Robinson had helped him when he was building his company. "He became a friend and someone I saw eye to eye with on how to build software companies," Ouellette wrote. "He could disagree with you about almost anything, and somehow you'd walk away liking him even more." The BBC has contacted Robinson's companies for comment. The crash occurred in Florida, though further details about the cause of the accident were not immediately available.
