Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, one of the most ambitious theatrical spectacles in recent Indian cinema, brings together a star-studded ensemble for its adaptation of the ancient epic. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi lead the cast as Ram and Sita, respectively, with the film scheduled for theatrical release on November 5.

The production has assembled a diverse group of actors to portray key figures from the Ramayana. Yash takes on the role of Raavan, bringing the character's dread and revenge to the screen. Kunal Kapoor portrays Indra Dev, the God of Gods, alongside his vaahan Airavata. Ravi Dubey steps into the shoes of Lakshman, while Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman. Rakul Preet Singh plays Surpanakha, the dynamic figure who serves as a key catalyst for the war between Ram and Raavan. Lara Dutta portrays Kaikeyi, the favourite consort of King Dasharatha who demands Lord Ram's 14-year exile.

The film's approach emphasizes giving each character full cinematic justification, with audience anticipation high for each casting choice. The ensemble nature of the project reflects the scale of the source material, aiming to translate the epic's breadth to the big screen through a combination of established stars and fresh interpretations of well-known figures.
