NEW DELHI — The makers of Hanuman Ansh, the devotional biopic on Neem Karoli Baba, have issued an official statement clarifying the film's rights and distribution arrangements, addressing reported disagreements within the production team.

The statement, released through Swambhu Media Network, identifies executive directors Namrata G Singh and Dr Vishal Chaturvedi as the authorised representatives for the film's public relations, marketing, awards and partnerships. It emphasises that all rights — theatrical, streaming, broadcast, music, gaming and licensing — are jointly held by the film's four producers and must be dealt with according to agreements signed between them.

"Hanuman Ansh has one authorised channel," the statement said. "Namrata G Singh and Dr Vishal Chaturvedi are solely authorised to direct public relations, marketing, awards and partnerships on behalf of the Company. All day-to-day coordination with partners, platforms and media is carried out through them."

The makers cautioned that no individual producer could independently make business arrangements concerning the film, and that any such dealings would not be recognised by the company or the producers. Anyone, including cast and crew members, wishing to speak publicly or represent Hanuman Ansh at interviews, podcasts or promotional events must first seek confirmation through the film's official communication channels.

The statement also carried a disclaimer clarifying that the film's four producers are Namrata G Singh, Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, Ragini Sona and Anupriya Nagar. It stated that decisions concerning publicity, awards, partnerships and rights in India and overseas require the approval of all four producers under the production agreement.

The clarification comes amid reports of differences over the film's publicity, with concerns that one producer was receiving more attention than the others. Despite the reported tensions behind the scenes, Hanuman Ansh has emerged as one of the biggest box office successes of 2026, collecting Rs 452.86 crore worldwide against a reported budget of Rs 2 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Directed by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, the film tells the story of Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharajji, whose devotees include people across India and abroad. Released in theatres on August 7, the film's OTT release details are yet to be officially announced.

The producers had previously discussed plans for the film as a trilogy, with Anupriya Nagar indicating the team would come together for the second part. However, sources now suggest the producers may have different plans for telling Neem Karoli Baba's story.

The makers said they would take necessary steps to protect the film's rights and interests.
