WELLINGTON — New Zealand Cricket has named an updated ODI squad for the five-match series against India, scheduled to begin on November 4, 2026. The announcement, made on Monday, comes as a double injury blow, with senior batters Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra both ruled out of the series.

Chapman is undergoing rehabilitation for a left hamstring injury. A recent MRI indicated the injury requires another two weeks of recovery before he is fully fit, the board said. Ravindra is yet to recover from a right shoulder niggle and is not expected to field at full capacity in the early matches.

Tim Seifert, who was selected for the fourth and fifth ODIs, will now be in the squad for the full series. Henry Nicholls has been added for the first three games. Dean Foxcroft is pencilled in for the fourth and fifth matches.

All-rounder Matt Henry has assembled with the squad and will be assessed on his readiness to play. Matt Fisher, initially selected for the latter two ODIs, will remain with the squad for the full series as an additional bowling option.

The five-match ODI series between New Zealand and India begins Wednesday in Wellington.
